Grounded in the Word.
Growing in Grace.
A historic Lutheran congregation in Queens, New York. We gather to hear God's promises, receive His gifts, and serve our neighborhood together.
A rooted Lutheran congregation serving Hollis Hills, Queens.
Centered entirely on Scripture, prayer, and the Sacraments.
Open doors for families, lifelong believers, and new visitors.
A Place to Find Rest
In a fast-paced city, Chapel of the Redeemer offers a quiet, steady rhythm of grace. We are a congregation that treasures the historic liturgy, the absolute truth of Scripture, and the warmth of genuine, face-to-face community. We don't pretend to be perfect; rather, we gather weekly because we trust in the One who is.
Whether you are a lifelong Lutheran, a family seeking a spiritual home, or someone simply curious about the Christian faith, there is a place for you here in our pews.
Visiting for the First Time?
We know that stepping into a new church can feel intimidating. Here is everything you need to know so you can feel completely at home this Sunday.
What time should I arrive?
Our divine service begins precisely at 10:00 AM every Sunday. Most members arrive around 9:45 AM to find a seat, pray, and prepare for worship.
What should I wear?
Please come as you are. You will see some people in suits and dresses, and others in casual weekend attire. We are just glad you are here.
Is parking available?
Yes, we have a safe, dedicated parking lot directly on campus, as well as plenty of free street parking along Union Turnpike safely adjacent to the building.
Is worship family-friendly?
Absolutely. We love the sound of children in the sanctuary! We encourage families to worship together, as children learn the liturgy by participating alongside us.
What is the service like?
Our worship is reverent, historic, and centered on Christ. We use a printed bulletin that makes it easy to follow along with the hymns, prayers, and readings.
